the making of a christmas card

happy holidays! ok, that was so enthusiastic.  overly, in fact.  but that's what it takes to get a great christmas card image.  i think a lot of us take for granted what goes into the actual card.  getting someone there to take the picture, getting the children dressed, keeping them dressed, keeping them clean, wiping the various shiny things off of their faces, making them laugh, keeping them from crying, adjusting their perfect outfits....& the list goes on.  did i mention bribery?  i often times have encourage the parents to have a "dangling carrot" for their children- offering them a trip to the promised land (aka target or toys r us), sometimes a piece of candy will do it & god forbid they have to threaten i will return to santa with a bad report.  i think some of the children are going to be personally mad at me on christmas morning when they think i may have influenced their bounty of toys...or lack thereof.  somehow after i have broken a sweat & the parents are close to tears because the vision of a perfect holiday card has left them, i manage to pull out a win for every single one of my families.  it's a sense of accomplishment.  i want you to all really appreciate the work that these parents go through to stay sane during holiday card time...they all really want the perfect print.  so of course, i had to take the chance to post my favorite outtakes from this month...so far!  enjoy & have a very happy holiday season!!

happy holidays!
